next week my wife and i are going to see, .. and visit, .. her aunt and uncle who are regular pioneers.. being regular pioneers they are, i just know it, .. get into it with me.. what do i say if they pull this scrip on me, ....... of not forsakeing the gathering together bit????.

so far i am preparing myself with all kinds of info, .. if it comes up.

It could mean...posting and reading on JWDForum...

It could mean reading the bible with your mate..or children..

It could mean gathering in some groups of friends in homes...

It couldn't mean attending a kingdom hall and being bossed around to the Max!

not only that, but the "organization" is under "the immediate direction of jehovah god himself" .

Comments that made feel pity at last Sundays WT study

i believe it was paragraph 17, the one that spoke about the faithful slave and how there are those who wish to be "independent" and that this is wrong.

two comments came, both from elders.

elder 1: so what the paragraph is telling us is that instead of developing an independent spirit we actually want to be developing a spirit of dependece upon god's organization and the spiritual food they provide.

Drew.. That part in Math. 24:46...about when the master arrives, he will appoint him over all his belongings....I believe hasn't happened yet...but will happen at the end of the great tribulation...........I know...THEY think it happened in 1914,,, ugh

i heard first hand from an elder that they are makin shpeherding calls using certain pages of the keep on the watch!

brochure, at the direction of the society.. i can't remember the page numbers, but the article is about our priorities and having a sense of urgency in the times we live in.. as this is coming from the society, do you think they are worried, what with their 1.3% increase for 2005 service year?.

i mean, this is 2006 after all, not 1998 - the society have given jw's nothing to hope for anymore, no sense of the impending doom of babylon the great.

I dropped out in Sept. because they couldn't explain why we were in the "hour of Judgement" even though they made that statement.............among other things.. They want us to believe we have entered into this "hour"...as stated in a chapter in the 'KEEP ON THE WATCH' broc. But why? They'll never tell....

i have been researching "michael" for the past 9 months very heavily.

I wouldn't have a clue either...but the only thing I was thinking, was if the messiah was to be from the line of Judah..maybe they would unearth something at the end of the great tribulation to prove the messiah would be from the correct blood line, when he is revealed as to who he actually is and that he would have the proper credentials..to the world. Because the bible says this ..about the son being revealed at the end:

Luke 17:30 "The same way it will be when the son of man is revealed"

Math. 24:30 "And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in lamentaion, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.."

One day the wondering will be over....
